"This short-range weapon deals a lot of damage, and its high ammo count will keep you armed and ready to melt some plastic and anything else coming your way."

The Flamethrower is a backup short-ranged incendiary weapon and utility tool. It is accessed by pressing 5 on the keyboard, and M1 to fire, or M2 to Aim Down the Sights.

When fired, it will shoot a continuous stream of fire a few feet in front of the player, dealing approximately 100 damage per second. Firing the weapon from ADS will not affect its accuracy. The magazine is infinite, and reloading is never necessary. In the level Operation Birthday, the Flamethrower must be used by the attacking team to light candles on fire; and on the level Deep Freeze, it must be used to melt the ice blocks containing the dinosaurs each team is working to free.

Thanks to its infinite ammo and its wide spray of fire, it lends itself well to spraying and praying while jumping around, making it most useful in situations where you must use flames to complete an objective, when you are at close range and out of ammo for the Shotgun, or when you are constantly dealing with enemies right up in your face with little time to reload, such as on Jurassic Plastic or the Art Attack levels. Otherwise, the Flamethrower's usefulness is very limited, best kept as backup or a humiliation weapon. It has worse damage output in its effective zone than the Shotgun, and its hard-capped range makes it literally useless at any range outside "very close".

Its visuals appear to be based on the M2 Flamethrower commonly carried by real life toy soldiers, which was developed by the US Army and used in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
