"This long-range, high-accuracy weapon deals powerful rounds and a scope to give precise accuracy. Take your time to line up your shot; this mighty rifle is low on ammo."

The Sniper Rifle is a semiautomatic sharpshooting rifle which fires extremely accurate, high-damaging shots. It is accessed by pressing 2 on the keyboard, and M1 to fire, or M2 to aim with the Scope.

When fired, it will shoot bullets at a rate of 2 rounds per second with perfect accuracy. Each bullet will deal 80 damage, or 100 on a headshot, with 3 shots in the magazine before a reload. Firing the weapon from the scope will not change the already-perfect accuracy of the Rifle, but will assist in aiming. When reloading, the Sniper has 6 ammunition in reserve, taking 1.5 seconds to reload. When all reserve ammo is used, it goes on a 20 second cooldown.

The greatest strength of the Sniper Rifle is in its perfect accuracy at long range, making it the strongest long-range weapon in The Mean Greens, with the potential to kill any player in one shot and the scope giving great visibility from a distance. This potential is balanced by its difficulty to aim outside its scope in close-quarters situations, its low rate of fire, very small magazine size and reserve ammo pool, and heads being a small and fast-moving target.

Its visuals appear to be based on the M1 Garand battle rifle, often converted for sniping use, which was used by the US Army in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. It may also be based on the M1917 Enfield or M1903 Springfield.
